EFCC Recovers ₦365 Billion, Secures 4,111 Convictions In 2024 – Olukoyede!

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) announced that it recovered over N365.4 billion and secured 4,111 convictions in 2024. Olukoyede credited the Commission’s success to the dedication, sacrifice, and commitment of its staff. He also pledged to surpass these achievements by the end of 2025. He emphasized the importance of professionalism and integrity in the fight against corruption, assuring that the EFCC’s workforce would become an effective, honest, and highly motivated team.

Professor Tonnie Iredia, a speaker at the retreat, addressed the public perception of the EFCC, highlighting how distortions and cynicism affect the Commission’s work. He praised Olukoyede’s leadership for its transparency and passion, urging more public involvement in the fight against corruption.

Mr. Femi Falana, SAN, also spoke about the EFCC’s evolution, commending its progress and resilience in combating corruption. He assured that the judiciary’s challenges would be addressed to ensure the Commission fully fulfills its mandate.
