According to TCN spokesperson Ndidi Mbah, the restoration follows the repair of the 330-kilovolt Osogbo-Omotosho transmission line, specifically between towers 420 and 422. The repair was completed on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 8:55 PM, resolving the fault that had caused the electricity supply disruption.

This repair ends the load shedding and power supply issues that had been affecting parts of Lagos, bringing normal bulk electricity transmission back to the state. TCN also expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Government, the Eko and Ikeja Electricity Distribution Companies, and the residents of Lagos for their understanding and cooperation during the outage period.
