At around 9 pm, there was a visible presence of vehicles near the Government House along Azikiwe Road, causing further speculation and anxiety among residents about what was unfolding. It was unclear if Governor Siminalayi Fubara was preparing to leave or if the vehicles were part of some other activity, but the increased security only heightened tensions.

Residents expressed shock and concern, with many speculating about the political turmoil that led to the state of emergency declaration. One local lamented, “This is not good for the state because it will affect social and economic activities. This is what the politicians have caused for us. Now they too can rest.”
