“Sokoto Security Forces Save Senior Officer, Detain Two Kidnap Suspects”

A senior officer, SP Musa Amadu, has been rescued by the Sokoto State Police after being abducted by suspected kidnappers, according to ireporter online.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama shared the incident on X on Friday, stating that the officer’s family alerted the police on August 27 when he failed to return home and could not be reached by phone, according to ireporter online.

The kidnapping was confirmed on August 28 after the victim’s brother received a ransom demand call from the abductors. The command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit swiftly took charge, using technical intelligence to track and locate SP Musa Amadu near the back gate of Usman Danfodio University on Illela Road.

According to ireporter online, the officer was rescued around 5:40 p.m., weak and disoriented, and immediately taken to the hospital for treatment and observation. Two suspects have since been arrested in connection with the case.
