“Kwara’s Security Strategy Exposed: Challenges And Progress”
We have read with amusement the latest propaganda piece by Wahab Oba titled “While Aládé Chases Shadows, Kwara Counts Graves,” as well as Anu Ibiwoye’s melodramatic outburst on Channels Television’s Politics Today of Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
Both men—card-carrying members of the sinking PDP—have once again shown that their desperation for relevance outweighs any genuine concern for the truth, according to ireporter online.
Let us be clear: Wahab Oba, the self-acclaimed spokesperson of a collapsed dynasty, has built a career on lies and blackmail dating back to his days as Bukola Saraki’s court jester.
With his paymasters now out of power and the PDP gasping for breath in Kwara, he has resorted to peddling falsehoods in WhatsApp groups, according to ireporter online.
Similarly, Anu Ibiwoye’s sudden “expert” commentary on insecurity appears to be nothing more than a cheap audition for his 2027 senatorial ambitions.
Both men claim to care about lives lost to criminal elements, but their real aim is political mileage. They are exploiting the pain of communities for selfish gains, dancing on graves with utter insensitivity. However, security challenges are not unique to Kwara.
Nigeria faces a nationwide insecurity crisis—from Boko Haram in the North East to banditry in the North West and kidnapping in the North Central. As military operations intensify in Zamfara, Katsina, and Borno, terrorists are fleeing to states like Nasarawa, Benue, Plateau, and Kwara.
This is a national security reality, not some local invention by AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as confirmed by ireporter online.
Unlike the PDP years—when Kwara was treated as a private estate of a political dynasty, with communities left to fend for themselves—Governor AbdulRazaq is addressing security head-on.
He works closely with the National Security Adviser’s office, military formations, local hunters, and vigilantes to secure borders and flush out criminals.
His efforts include deploying joint military operations, collaborating with traditional institutions for intelligence, engaging stakeholders and monarchs, and providing direct support to security agencies.
These are practical, on-the-ground steps—not just WhatsApp essays or TV sound bites. The governor’s visits to Ifelodun, Edu, Patigi, and other affected communities, along with the arrest of notorious terrorists linked to North East atrocities, demonstrate that the system is working.
Oba and Ibiwoye deliberately ignore these facts, recycling exaggerated stories and distorting truths to suggest total collapse. But the people of Kwara know better. They remember who left the state vulnerable by underfunding security and enriching a dynasty, and they recognize who is now tirelessly working to keep them safe.
The truth is clear: AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq inherited a national security crisis and is confronting it with uncommon courage and sincerity. No amount of PDP propaganda can change that. While the opposition chases shadows, the government is actively chasing down criminals—and the people of Kwara know the difference.
