“From Los Angeles To Lagos: Tiwa Savage’s Tattoo Journey Through Heartache”

Nigerian music sensation Tiwa Savage has revealed how a painful heartbreak inspired her latest tattoo.

In a recent interview with media personality Katy Igwe, the singer explained that she flew in her tattoo artist from Los Angeles to her Lagos home to avoid expressing her pain publicly in a tattoo parlour.

Tiwa described the session as intense, saying the tattoo artist was concerned for her as blood appeared during the process.

Reflecting on her past relationship, she said the last two years had been extremely challenging, and she’s relieved to have moved on.

She shared, “I flew in my tattoo artist from LA and did the tattoo in my room, where I felt comfortable. Being in a tattoo parlour while going through such pain can be overwhelming. I wanted a private, safe space. My tattoo artist walked in and was like, ‘What are you doing? Is that going to come off?’ There was blood everywhere, and he was worried for me. I just wanted to create something that reflected the heartbreak I felt. The last two years were very hard, the relationship I went through was crazy, and I’m so happy I’m out of it.”
