Producer Ozedikus Explains Why He Left Gospel Music For Secular Beats

According to Ireporter Online, music producer Igbinoba Osaze, popularly known as Ozedikus Nwanne, has revealed how his career evolved from gospel music to mainstream production. In a recent interview, Ozedikus explained that while his early experiences in gospel music laid the foundation for his skills, the genre was not financially sustainable.

He noted that playing piano for churches and bands offered some income but was insufficient, and he often worked without payment or recognition. For months, he performed for a church without compensation, relying on production work to support himself.

By 2017, Ozedikus fully committed to music production, managing both creative and business responsibilities before hiring a manager to organize his workflow. He reflected on the shift, stating that although he was initially drawn to gospel music, the lack of studio-recording opportunities among gospel artists pushed him toward the more lucrative secular market.

Ozedikus emphasized that the transition was challenging and exhausting but ultimately necessary for growth and sustainability in the industry.
