If I Ask For N100m, Everyone Will Scramble To Get It” — Bishop David Abioye
According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian cleric Bishop David Abioye has urged individuals to remain diligent and faithful in their current roles, emphasizing the importance of integrity and discipline. He warned against succumbing to undue pressure to meet sudden financial demands, noting that such expectations can lead to poor judgment and long-term consequences.
Speaking to his congregation, Bishop Abioye highlighted that the misuse of power has been a major factor in the downfall of many leaders. He encouraged people to focus on being responsible and consistent in their present assignments rather than pursuing unrealistic financial or professional goals.
The cleric further compared those who can quickly mobilize large sums of money under pressure with those who choose to remain steady in their duties. “People today, if I call them, ‘Hey, I need 100 million, number two 100 million in one week,’ they will go and look for it. But I will never. I want to be faithful where I am. Abuse of power has destroyed many people. Be faithful in business, in career, in life,” he said.
Bishop Abioye’s message underscores the significance of contentment, discipline, and integrity in both professional and spiritual life.
