According to Ireporter Online, the family of late reggae icon Ras Kimono has raised alarm over an alleged fraudulent attempt to sell a property belonging to his estate, warning members of the public to exercise caution in any related transactions.

The singer’s daughter, Oge Kimono, in a formal statement, cautioned that a plot of land located in Ota, Ogun State, allegedly part of the late musician’s estate, was being unlawfully offered for sale. She claimed the transaction was being carried out by the late singer’s first wife, Sybil, whom she stated was legally divorced from the artiste in 2005.

Oge further maintained that at the time of Ras Kimono’s passing, he was legally married to Cynthia Dumas, stressing that the individual in question had no legal authority to manage or dispose of any assets belonging to the estate. She described the alleged sale as unauthorized, invalid, and without legal effect.

The statement also warned that there may be attempts to dispose of additional properties linked to the estate, urging real estate agents, prospective buyers, and the general public to avoid engaging in any dealings connected to the disputed assets. The family reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the legacy and assets of the late musician and vowed to pursue all legal measures against any unauthorized dealings.
