According to Ireporter Online, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has taken a swipe at the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following the reported political movement involving former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Keyamo, in a statement issued on Thursday, likened the situation to a romantic analogy, suggesting that the ADC failed to secure Obi by not offering him what he described as clear political assurance. He compared the party to a “lovesick bachelor” who lost a valued partner after refusing to commit decisively.

He further described Obi as a figure who understood his worth and quietly moved on to another political platform that immediately offered him stronger commitment, particularly regarding presidential ambition.

In his words, Keyamo said the situation was similar to a bachelor who admired a woman deeply but refused to make her his first choice, instead offering her a lesser role, prompting her to leave for a suitor who valued her more.

He concluded that the ADC should move on rather than dwell on Obi’s departure, adding that the party’s reaction reflects misplaced frustration over a missed political opportunity.
