Reacting via his official X account, Davido openly declared his support, writing that he wants Arsenal to win, a statement that has since sparked widespread reactions among football fans and music lovers alike.

The endorsement adds to the growing excitement surrounding Arsenal’s pursuit of a historic European title, with supporters increasingly optimistic about the club’s chances following a strong campaign.

In a separate development, Davido has also been selected among the 2026 inductees into the Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta, marking another major milestone in his international career. The honour places him as only the second Nigerian artiste to be recognized, following Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti.

Organisers of the ceremony, scheduled for June 1 in Atlanta’s Historic Westside, stated that the initiative—established by the Black American Music Association and the Georgia Entertainment Caucus—aims to celebrate global figures who have significantly influenced Black music and entertainment culture.

This year’s inductees include notable names such as Ludacris, gospel legend Paul S. Morton, and former Atlanta mayor Maynard Jackson, while past honourees feature global icons including Beyoncé, Usher, Stevie Wonder, and Mary J. Blige. Since its inception in 2021, the Walk of Fame has continued to honour cultural trailblazers with commemorative plaques along Atlanta’s historic corridor.
