Peter Obi, Rabiu Kwankwaso’s Exit From ADC Was A Glitch’ – Abdullahi
According to Ireporter Online, the National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has dismissed the recent departure of former presidential candidates Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso from the party, describing the development as a “glitch.”
The ADC spokesperson stated that the party has since moved past the exit of both political figures, noting that internal restructuring and ideological stability remain the party’s priority. He explained that the party’s core mission has not changed, which includes addressing what he described as the declining state of governance in the country while also strengthening Nigeria’s multi-party democratic system.
He further maintained that although some members have moved on to other political platforms while others remain within the ADC, the broader opposition coalition agenda remains intact and active within the country’s evolving political landscape.
Meanwhile, according to reports, a member of the House of Representatives representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, Chinedu Obika, disclosed that his recent political alignment with the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) was influenced by the political direction and leadership style of Peter Obi. Obika, who won his seat under the Labour Party in 2023, said he remained committed to Obi’s ideology despite ongoing internal challenges within his former party, adding that opposition forces must work together ahead of future elections.
