Zuma Agric Radio Kicks Off 2026 Planting Season Ahead Of 10th Harvest Festival

According to Ireporter Online, Zuma Agric Radio has officially commenced the 2026 planting season with a large-scale farmers’ engagement programme held at the Zuma FM premises in Suleja, Niger State. The initiative attracted farmers, agricultural stakeholders, traditional rulers, and development partners who participated in training sessions, extension support services, distribution of farm inputs, and strategic discussions aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and strengthening food security at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the event, the Founder of Zuma Agric Radio and Convener of the Zuma Agricultural Harvest Festival, Shuaibu Kere Ahmed, stated that the initiative reflects the organisation’s continued commitment to supporting farmers beyond broadcasting, through direct, practical interventions that improve agricultural outcomes. He emphasized that agriculture remains a key driver of economic growth, rural development, and sustainable food production, adding that the platform is dedicated to ensuring farmers have access to timely information, resources, and support systems.

He further explained that the commencement of the planting season programme marks the beginning of a broader agricultural drive that will culminate in the 10th edition of the Zuma Agricultural Harvest Festival scheduled for later in the year.
