Slimm J Unveils New Single Alongside EP Announcement

Fast-rising Nigerian artiste, Slimm J, has announced plans to release a new single titled “Let Me Be” in June, followed by a five-track EP, “Keep Going,” scheduled for release in July 2026.

According to Ireporter Online, the singer revealed that both projects will centre on themes of endurance, identity, and survival, continuing the narrative he introduced in his 2025 project, True Story 2 (Hustlers Anthem).

Slimm J explained that “Let Me Be” reflects the emotional and societal pressure young people face while striving to remain authentic amid life’s challenges. He further noted that the forthcoming EP will chronicle his personal journey as an emerging artiste navigating the Nigerian music industry without the backing of a major record label.

Since breaking into the music scene in 2019, Slimm J has built a reputation for emotionally driven storytelling, with his music often exploring hustle culture, delayed success, and resilience—themes that have earned him a steadily growing and loyal fan base.

His 2025 project, True Story 2 (Hustlers Anthem), gained notable attention within underground music circles for its raw and reflective portrayal of ambition, pressure, and survival.

With the upcoming releases of “Let Me Be” and “Keep Going,” Slimm J is expected to further solidify his presence in Nigeria’s competitive and evolving music landscape.
