Full List Of Abducted Borno Children Released

According to Ireporter Online, the attackers, believed to be members of Boko Haram and ISWAP, stormed the community and targeted homes and schools, leaving families devastated and the entire village in mourning.

Community leaders disclosed that an initial register compiled by the ward councillor, Peter Wabba, listed 40 missing children. However, further verification by local authorities and parents increased the number of unaccounted-for children to 51.

Residents said the majority of the missing children are nursery and lower primary school pupils, with several reportedly under the age of six.

One of the affected parents, Bukar Buba, whose six-year-old daughter is among the missing, said only four of the abducted children are 15 years old or above.

He explained that most of the victims are very young children, including toddlers who were unable to flee during the attack.

Residents alleged that the terrorists invaded the community less than 30 minutes after military reinforcements departed from Mussa.

According to eyewitnesses, soldiers who had come from Askira-Uba left the village between 7:15 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., and the attackers arrived shortly afterward.

Another parent, Chinda Buba, recounted that the gunmen headed straight to a school, forcing pupils to run for safety.

He said older students managed to escape, while the insurgents rounded up younger children and loaded them onto motorcycles.

Community sources revealed that the attackers arrived on approximately 18 motorcycles and completed the operation in under 30 minutes before fleeing with the children.

The abduction has plunged the community into grief, with many parents struggling to cope with the disappearance of their children.

Families have appealed to the Federal Government, the Borno State Government, and security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue the children and reunite them with their loved ones.

“We just want our children back home safely,” one distraught parent pleaded.

A list of some of the abducted children has since surfaced, including Adams, Musa, Grace, Rejoice, Mommy, Hezekiah, Haruna, Hanatu, Emma, Wadzani, Amos, Jagula, Omega, Alheri, Saratu, Ribecah, Halita, Joy, Japari, Apagu, Ummy, Luka, and others whose identities have not yet been made public.
