Tinubu Already Set For Victory, Jibrin Fires Back At Opposition
According to Ireporter Online, a former House of Representatives member, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has expressed strong confidence that President Bola Tinubu is on course for re-election in 2027, insisting that the opposition has already lost its opportunity to unseat the ruling party.
Jibrin made the remarks during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Wednesday, where he argued that prevailing political realities and dynamics clearly favour the President ahead of the next general election.
He maintained that Tinubu remains in a dominant position regardless of the opposition’s strategy or choice of candidates, stressing that current developments within opposition ranks have further weakened their chances.
“The opposition lost it already,” Jibrin said, adding that even a united front involving key political figures such as Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Seyi Makinde would still fall short against the President.
He further stated that divisions within opposition parties have strengthened Tinubu’s political standing, insisting that the President is positioned for victory in 2027 even if rival camps attempt to form a coalition.
