Sowore Raises Alarm, Accuses DSS Of Tracking His Security Vehicle

According to information obtained by Ireporter Online, Sowore made the allegation after attending activities connected to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference in Port Harcourt.

In a post shared on X, the activist claimed that he had been under surveillance since arriving in the state.

Sowore said members of his team became suspicious after noticing unusual movements around them following his appearance at a Kay Hikers gathering. The development reportedly prompted them to change vehicles.

He subsequently claimed that an electronic tracking device was discovered attached underneath the security vehicle they had been using.

According to Sowore, the discovery suggested that his movements were being monitored by the DSS.

He alleged that the device had been deliberately placed on the vehicle to track his movements during his stay in Rivers State, although he did not provide independent evidence establishing who installed the device.

Sowore further accused the DSS of being behind the alleged surveillance, saying the development demonstrated that the authorities were concerned about his activities.

The activist did not disclose additional technical details about the alleged tracking device or explain how it was determined that the DSS was responsible for installing it.

As of the time of reporting, the DSS had not publicly responded to Sowore’s allegation.

The latest claim comes amid Sowore’s longstanding criticism of government institutions and security agencies, whom he has previously accused of monitoring and intimidating him.
