Beauty in the Motherland (BITML) is set to return to Lagos for its 2026 edition, with the three-day event scheduled to take place from October 5 to 7 at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel & Suites.

According to Ireporter Online, the exhibition is expected to bring together major players in Africa’s beauty industry for networking, learning, exhibitions and business opportunities.

The 2026 edition is being positioned as a major platform for showcasing Africa’s beauty, natural and creative resources while creating greater market access for businesses across the continent. Organisers are also pursuing a Vision 2030 goal of helping the African beauty industry achieve a $100 billion valuation and establishing the continent as a global centre for beauty innovation, manufacturing, investment, talent and brands.

The initiative is led by founder Beatrice Eneh, a beauty entrepreneur and African beauty market strategist, alongside co-founder Linda Edozien, founder and Managing Director of Barazahi Spa and a former executive at AMNI International Petroleum.

The organisers said the upcoming edition will feature more than 300 leading brands, over 400 exhibitors, 10,000 beauty professionals, 60 speakers and 20 partners, with participants expected from several countries.

The event is being organised in partnership with Fidelity Bank, Unilever and the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC), with the collaboration designed to provide financing, industry expertise and enterprise development opportunities for beauty businesses seeking to expand.

One of the major attractions will be the BITML Business Pitch Competition, organised with EDC, where selected beauty entrepreneurs will undergo training and mentorship before pitching their businesses to a panel of judges for cash prizes and other development opportunities.

The Nail Art Competition, sponsored by Nectar Beauty Hub, will also return, with winners set to receive up to N1 million worth of nail products, alongside exposure and training opportunities.
