Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has revealed that his inability to cook once influenced the way he approached romantic relationships during his university days.

The actor made the disclosure while appearing on the Lahor Podcast, where he reflected on his experiences with cooking, relationships and life as a university student.

Jim Iyke admitted that cooking was one of the skills he struggled with at the time and said he devised an unusual way of ensuring he had home-cooked meals.

According to the actor, he frequently approached different women and pursued romantic relationships with them, partly because they were able to prepare meals for him.

He explained that after the women had cooked for him, he would allegedly end the relationships and move on to someone else.

Jim Iyke said the practice continued for a while before he was eventually exposed, after which his reputation among women in his department reportedly suffered.

The actor recalled the incident humorously, saying it became so widely known that women in the department became reluctant to entertain his advances.

According to Ireporter Online, Jim Iyke described the experience as one of the memorable incidents from his university years and acknowledged that his inability to cook contributed to his unusual dating pattern at the time.

He said, “The only thing I don’t know how to do in this life is cooking. In university, I used to toast girls every week so they could cook for me. Once she finished cooking, I’d break up with her. The day I was caught, the whole department stopped giving me a chance.”
