Portugal Beat Black Stars Of Africa Ghana 3-2 To Secure all Three Points At The Qatar World Cup
Portugal gained victory over ghana at the 2022 Qatar world cup in stadium 974 in the city of Doha. Ghanaians qualified for the world cup after beating Nigeria by an away goal in Abuja early this year.
Ronaldo opened the scoring for Portugal at 67 minutes with a penalty. Andre Ayew responded with an equalizer for Ghana at 73 minutes.
Ghana couldn’t keep their composure and started losing passes to the opposition when Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix made it 2 for Portugal, 5 minutes after the equalizer.
R. Leao who had his 2nd cap and first appearance in a world cup for Portugal came in for Ruben Neves and made its goal number three. The black stars of Africa tried coming back after Osman Bukhari scored before extra time.
Ghana had the opportunity of at least gaining just one point but Inaki Williams couldn’t make it 3 for his country.
Ghana is the only country in Africa to score a goal in this world cup as both Cameroon and Senegal lost to their opposition goalless.
