2023 Elections: See What Happened To Akpabio Senatorial Re-election Bid
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Senator Godswill Akpabio of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the winner of the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial election in the early hours of Monday.
The returning officer for Akwa Ibom North West senatorial district, Professor Anthony Udoh, declared Akpabio the winner of the contest for the Akwa Ibom North West senatorial district, saying that the former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs satisfied all conditions to be declared the winner, having polled 115,401 valid votes.
Mr Emmanuel Enoidem of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who came in second place, received 69,838 votes.
