The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has held another strategic meeting with the party’s 2027 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as consultations ahead of the general election continue.

The meeting, held on Thursday, was also attended by the NDC National Chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas, alongside other prominent leaders of the party.

According to Ireporter Online, the discussions centred on ongoing preparations for the 2027 elections, with party leaders deliberating on key issues affecting the organisation and its political direction.

Dickson disclosed that the latest meeting was a continuation of consultations among the party’s top leadership. He explained that the stakeholders were also working towards finalising arrangements for the unveiling of the NDC Campaign Council ahead of the elections.

The former Bayelsa State governor stressed the importance of unity among members and urged aspirants, stakeholders and supporters to close ranks and work collectively towards securing victory for the party’s candidates at all levels.

He noted that the party had held a similar meeting two days earlier and reconvened to further deliberate on outstanding issues and reach final decisions concerning its electoral strategy.

Dickson said the success of the party would depend largely on the ability of its members and leaders to remain united and focused as the 2027 general elections approach.

The meeting comes amid growing political activities and consultations among major opposition figures ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
