According to Ireporter Online, Sammy West, the brother of popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has shared a reflective message on social media emphasizing the value of integrity over material wealth. In a post on his Instagram story, West echoed the timeless saying that “a good name is better than great riches,” suggesting that recent developments have deepened his understanding of that principle.

He wrote, “When we had debates in secondary school on ‘A good name is better than riches,’ na now you go understand! I no dey worship money. RESPECT is a beautiful thing.” His message, though brief, appeared to hint at the current controversy surrounding his sister’s marriage.

This comes after a viral video surfaced showing Regina Daniels visibly distressed, alleging she could no longer cope with the violence in her marriage to businessman and politician, Ned Nwoko. Following the video, Sammy West accused Nwoko of physically assaulting the actress.

In response, Nwoko issued a public statement on his verified Instagram page, denying the allegations of violence. He claimed instead that Regina’s reported use of drugs and alcohol had contributed to unrest in their home. According to him, the actress had recently exhibited aggressive behavior, attacking three domestic staff members and damaging property—including vehicles and windows—within a span of two days.

Nwoko also alleged that Regina declined to participate in a rehabilitation program he had arranged for her in Asokoro and abroad, which was designed to help her limit access to drugs.
