(PDP) and close ally of former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, succumbed to a brief illness on Saturday in Adewole, Ilorin.

Isau’s political career was marked by his unwavering loyalty to the Saraki dynasty, and he served as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice under Saraki’s administration. His involvement in Kwara politics ran deep, even making a bid for the PDP’s gubernatorial ticket in 2019, only to step down for Razak Atunwa.

Though battling health challenges like diabetes and high blood pressure, Isau had been in good spirits, attending a key meeting the day before his sudden passing.

His death has sparked an outpouring of tributes across Kwara, with Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq praising his dedicated service to the state, particularly his tenure as SSG and Attorney General. The Governor prayed for Isau’s peaceful rest, extending condolences to his family.

The late Isau’s remarkable contributions to both politics and law left an indelible mark, and he will be remembered as one of Kwara’s finest. His Janazah prayers will be held at his family residence in Gaa Aremu, Ilorin, before he is laid to rest on Sunday.

Isau leaves behind his wife, four children, and a legacy of public service that will be remembered by many.
