Frozen Rivals: Anfield’s Final Countdown Before The Icy Showdown

Liverpool and Manchester United have confirmed that their highly anticipated English Premier League clash will go ahead as planned. The match is set to take place at Anfield on Sunday, January 5.

Despite initial concerns about the game’s postponement due to severe weather conditions in the area, Liverpool and United both reassured fans that the match will proceed. An amber weather warning remains in effect, and there were safety concerns after significant snowfall across the North West.

However, following a second safety review, the clubs announced that the 16:30 GMT kick-off is deemed safe for spectators.

Liverpool, managed by Arne Slot, is focused on extending their lead over Arsenal, following the Gunners’ draw against Brighton on Saturday. Meanwhile, Manchester United, under the leadership of Ruben Amorim, is aiming to end a four-match losing streak and lift the mood at Old Trafford.

In a recent press conference, Liverpool’s head coach, Arne Slot, revealed that he will not rotate his squad for the crucial encounter with Manchester United. He stressed that the opposition’s stronger squad makes rotation unnecessary, saying, “I have no plans to rotate against Man United. They have better players than their league position suggests.”
