Achraf Hakimi Laments: Allegations Could Destroy My Children’s Peace Of Mind

According to Ireporter Online, Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi has voiced his concerns over the lasting effects of the rape allegation against him, particularly on his children. Hakimi explained that while his kids are currently too young to grasp the controversy, he fears they will one day come across the story online and struggle with its implications.

The Moroccan international was accused by a 24-year-old woman of sexual assault at his residence in Boulogne-Billancourt, a case that quickly gained widespread media attention in France and abroad, sparking intense public debate about both his career and personal life.

Speaking in an interview with Canal+, Hakimi admitted the ordeal has been devastating. “I have never been subjected to such harm,” he said. “For me, it was difficult and it continues to be. Because when you write lie after lie, it hurts, especially for my family.”

Reflecting on the possible emotional toll on his children, the 26-year-old added: “My children are still young. They don’t know the internet and they can’t read. But one day, they’re going to read this kind of thing. And for me, seeing that these lies have been written about their father is not pleasant. And I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.”

Widely regarded as one of PSG’s most reliable players, Hakimi admitted that the accusations have tarnished his reputation and tested his resilience beyond the pitch. Despite the scrutiny, he maintains his innocence and expressed hope that the truth will eventually prevail over the damaging claims.
