Actor Emeka Nwagbaraocha Calls Out “Miracle Chasers” In Hallelujah Challenge Controversy
Nigerian actor Emeka Nwagbaraocha has weighed in on the ongoing debate surrounding participants of the popular gospel event, Hallelujah Challenge, expressing concerns about people’s intentions for joining the program.
According to Ireporter Online, the actor, in a post shared via his X account, criticized individuals he described as “miracle chasers” who, in his opinion, approach the spiritual program with the wrong mindset instead of seeking a genuine connection with God.
He wrote, “Some of you are just miracle chasers and genuinely not seeking the face of God. God that loved you when you were wallowing in sin and sent His Son to die for you, will punish you because you left Hallelujah Challenge early because of work or missed just one day? Lmaoo you people should please naa.”
His statement quickly drew mixed reactions from social media users. While some netizens supported his viewpoint, applauding him for addressing misplaced spiritual priorities, others criticized his tone as being dismissive and judgmental of people’s personal faith experiences.
The Hallelujah Challenge, founded by gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey, has continued to attract massive participation across Nigeria and beyond, serving as one of the most talked-about online Christian worship events in recent years.
