Adeleke Comments On Son’s Choice Of Bride: ‘This Is The Right Match

According to reports, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has shared insights into his discussions with his son, Gbolahan Adeleke, regarding marriage, revealing that father and son share similar preferences when it comes to choosing a life partner.

The Governor made the comments during the traditional wedding ceremony of Gbolahan Adeleke and his bride, Damilola Adio, held in Lagos State over the weekend. In a video circulating online, Adeleke recounted his long-standing conversations with his son about settling down, noting that Gbolahan often responded with a playful remark that he was still “testing.”

Governor Adeleke said he had carefully observed his son’s relationships over the years, identifying which partners were not a good fit. He noted that the moment Gbolahan introduced Damilola to the family, he was convinced she was the right choice.

He said, “I had been studying my son whenever he brought someone home, and I discovered that we have the same spec. Whenever he brought any woman, I would say, ‘This isn’t your spec,’ and he would say he knew. I would then tell him to go and bring his spec. The day he brought home Damilola, I hugged him and said, ‘That’s it.’”

The Governor also expressed gratitude to the Adio family, thanking them for welcoming their daughter into the Adeleke family and assuring that she would be well cared for.
