Reacting to the revelations, Dr. Onyema assured that Air Peace would cover all costs related to bringing the girls back to Nigeria. He also announced that the girls would receive free medical assessments and treatment at Duchess International Hospital in Ikeja, Lagos.

“We must all rise to condemn and discourage any form of trafficking,” Onyema stated. “It is a grave injustice and a glaring example of man’s inhumanity to man.”

He urged the Nigerian Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire to help coordinate the safe assembly of the affected girls and to initiate contact with the airline for swift evacuation. Additionally, Onyema called on the Federal Government to oversee the girls’ reintegration, including their education and reunification with their families.
