Confirmed by Chidimma Ikeanyionwu, media aide to the State Women and Social Welfare Commissioner, Hon Ify Obinabo, Okafor turned herself in to the Anambra Police Command in Awka.

Allegations suggest Okafor inflicted injuries on the minor, Happiness Nwafor, using knives and other sharp objects.

Obinabo emphasized that Okafor will face charges before the Children, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Magistrate court in Awka next week, marking a significant step towards justice.
