Alphonsus Oga Eba, the Secretary of the Forum of APC Chairmen, highlighted their stance on the issue of kidnapping, stating, “We are deeply troubled by the escalating cases of kidnappings across the country, which we raised as a significant concern to Mr. President.”

He continued, “While we acknowledge the support, both moral and financial, that Mr. President has provided to security agencies, we believe it is time for accountability. If any security personnel, whether at the district level or higher, is found to be ineffective, Mr. President should take decisive action.”

Eba emphasized that although the President cannot personally engage in combat, he must hold his subordinates accountable for security lapses. The forum stressed the need for decisive measures to address the prevailing insecurity in the nation.

Regarding the internal crisis within the Edo chapter of the party following the governorship primaries, the APC Chairmen described it as a minor issue that could be resolved internally. They assured that efforts were underway at the party leadership level to address grievances and ensure unity within the party.
