APC Chieftain Slams INEC Chairman Over Commendation Of Ghana’s Election

Eze described Yakubu’s commendation as “self-serving, idiotic, and hypocritical”, citing the numerous electoral frauds and manipulations under Yakubu’s watch. He claimed that INEC has turned itself into an extension of the ruling government, suppressing opposition parties and dissenting voices.

Eze accused Yakubu of being at the forefront of the project to thwart the will of the majority of Nigerians at the polls, and of conducting elections that are far from meeting the minimum standard for democratic elections.

He further criticized Yakubu for stating that Ghana’s electoral body learned from Nigeria, describing such an inference as “false, misleading, and a mockery of the wisdom and integrity of Ghanaians and their decent electoral system”.

Eze concluded that under Yakubu’s leadership, INEC has nothing to offer to the outside world except asking aggrieved candidates and political parties to go to court to ventilate their grievances, leaving Nigeria’s political future bleak and its corporate existence threatened.
