He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known-Proverbs 10.9
In less than 60 days the biggest political party in Africa the APC would hold its national congress to determine who becomes the next National Chairman of the party that would steer the Party’s affairs and most importantly lead the party into the all anticipated 2023 general elections.
Saying the stakes are high is an understatement as the next national chairman of the party would play a big role in the economical emancipation of the country. Party members who are also citizens of Nigeria want a better life as well.
Who becomes the national chairman of the APC that would enjoy the confidence of party members and the general public at large? What role can he play to see to the amelioration of the plights of the common man?
These questions have been bothering the majority of APC members and they look forward to a national congress that would change the narrative. While the congress can not be predicted with complete certainty, the issues that surround the congress have made it even harder than usual to determine what will happen at the congress.
Be that as it may, party members have resolved across the country to throw their support for integrity and performance. They have decided this time around to rally around a competent hand with unblemished records.
A group within the APC in the South East, the APC Youths Vanguard have vowed to do all within its capacity to prevail on the party leadership to elect Mallam Saliu Mustapha as the next national chairman of the party. According to the leader of the group, Comrade Obinna Ikenna, of all the names flying around as possible candidates for the exalted office, Mallam Saliu Mustapha stands out tall with his impeccable records.
“One of the qualities of a great leader is to have flawless uprightness, he must be brave, empathetic and of sound judgement. Without trying to play to the gallery or be mischievous, Mallam Saliu Mustapha has better credentials for the national chairmanship seat. What we need now as a party is a national chairman that would align with the current realities facing us as a nation.
We need someone who has an impeccable reputation, is committed and focused, we have full confidence in the capability of Mallam Saliu Mustapha and we have started a mass mobilization across the South East for his candidacy. Nigeria must be great again.”
Meanwhile, Key party stakeholders from Kwara State under the aegis of Kwara Likeminds held a meeting over the weekend and reaffirmed their unalloyed support towards the aspiration of Mallam Saliu Mustapha as the next national chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
According to the secretary of the movement, Com. Yusuf Suleman Abolaji, Mallam Saliu Mustapha remains the best hands for the top job and members should intensify their efforts in winning more admirers for the aspiration of the APC frontline aspirant. He described the movement as a moving train.
