2027: No Vacancy in Aso Rock – Yoruba Group in U.S. Declares Full Support for Tinubu, Urges Diaspora Voting

The Yoruba Ni Colorado (YNC) group, based in the United States, has firmly declared its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, boldly stating that there is “no vacancy in the Villa.”

According to IReporter Online, the group made this declaration during a courtesy visit to Umar Tanko Yakasai, Director-General of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), on Tuesday in Abuja.

Adetola Obiwole, president of YNC, said Nigerians in the diaspora have been closely monitoring President Tinubu’s economic reforms and are confident that the administration is leading the country toward sustainable progress.

“We restate our unalloyed support for President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu,” she said, urging the National Assembly to expedite the process of enabling diaspora voting through constitutional amendments.

According to IReporter Online, George Sotade, General Secretary of the group, reinforced this stance, declaring: “We don’t need to talk too much. There is no vacancy in the Villa. Anybody running around is just doing that to bring more votes for us, for Asiwaju.”

He added that the Yoruba community in the U.S., along with broader Nigerian diaspora groups, remain fully behind the president.

The YNC also honored Yakasai and praised the Tinubu Support Group for its strategic efforts in delivering victory during the 2023 election. The support group, they noted, continues to play a crucial role in grassroots mobilization, including its ongoing medical outreach across rural Nigerian communities.

According to IReporter Online, Yakasai, in his response, applauded the group for staying connected to their roots and giving back to Nigeria. He emphasized the importance of the diaspora’s involvement in national development and called on medical professionals abroad to mentor their counterparts at home to help reduce Nigeria’s dependence on medical tourism.

Yakasai also encouraged all diaspora supporters to prepare for active participation in the 2027 election, reminding them that “every vote counts.”
