“This is an unacceptable and recurring tragedy that has claimed far too many innocent lives and destroyed countless properties,” Atiku wrote. He highlighted a similar incident that occurred at Otedola Bridge in Lagos, emphasizing that such incidents should no longer be tolerated.

Atiku demanded that a high-powered presidential panel be set up immediately to investigate the causes of the tanker explosions and implement solutions to prevent further occurrences. He stressed that the safety of citizens is non-negotiable and urged for decisive action to break the cycle of destruction caused by these incidents.
