Australian Man Busted Over 23,000 Child Abuse Images – Police Take Action

According to Ireporter Online, Australian authorities have charged a 27-year-old man with hundreds of child abuse offences after uncovering 23,000 sexually explicit images of children on his computer. Queensland Police Chief Superintendent Denzil Clark stated that detectives had identified 459 victims in the material, which allegedly documents the man’s actions in detail.

The victims, aged between seven and 15, lived both in Australia and overseas. Clark said investigators believe the man targeted children on popular social media and gaming platforms, with offences spanning from 2018 to 2025. Police also allege that he created multiple fake online profiles and used them to groom, coerce, and threaten children into sending sexually explicit images.

Clark described the crimes as “extremely concerning and disturbingly offensive,” highlighting the growing prevalence of online child exploitation. “The trauma that this causes a child is significant,” he said.

The man faces 596 charges, including over 200 counts of producing child abuse material and 87 counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child online. In response to rising risks, Australia has recently prohibited children under 16 from using several major social media platforms.
