Battle For Edo North: Owan West In High Spirit As Tony Ezekiel  Set To Flag Off Edo North Senatorial  Campaign

The emergence of Tony Ohifeme Ezekiel for the Edo North senatorial district campaign has invigorated the residents of Owan West.

Village heads, community leaders, the elderly, and youths have expressed hope that a constituent of Owan West will finally represent Edo North in the National Assembly this time around, giving the people the quality representation they deserve.

Mr Tony Ohifeme Ezekiel, Chairman and CEO of ITEX furniture, is expected to launch his Edo North Senatorial campaign any day now, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

In recent weeks, there has been a lot of pressure on the business magnate and philanthropist to run for senator on the PDP platform to help save the good people of Edo North from the perceived poor performance of the current incumbent.

Since the joyful news of his arrival, the numerous communities  that make up Owan West have been optimistic.

The people of Sabongida-Ora were cheerful, reflecting the return of optimism and a bright future.

According to a local who defined Tony as a man of the people and listed his numerous charitable efforts, it is past time for the people of Edo North to have quality leadership that will put the region on the map of the globe.

“The PDP ticket is a priceless gem that must be handed to candidates who are popular, credible, and committed to winning an election. We know Tony has the necessary expertise; he has done it in his private capacity and has always treated youths with kindness.”

The storyline was the same in Uhonmora, Sobe, Ivbiodohen, Avbiosi, Okegboro, and other towns in Owan West. Tony Ezekiel has made a difference in people’s lives.

In response to Ezekiel’s senatorial bid, a 65-year-old retired teacher from Sobe, simply known as Mama Adoga, said,

“Tony Ezekiel has done a lot for our people in terms of youth empowerment, and via his scholarship program, he has sent many people to school, particularly the poor.

If we want to draw the much-desired democratic dividends to Edo North Senatorial District, we would need Tony.”

Mr Benedict Omoikhoje, another Owan resident, expressed his delight that Owan West had returned to politics, emphasizing the need for the region to consolidate at the federal level.
