He emphasized that other presidential candidates, such as Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, had also pledged similar reforms.
Despite the short time since Tinubu assumed office in May 2023, political maneuvers for the next election cycle have begun, with reports of discussions between Atiku and Obi. Ahmed welcomed the prospect of a strong opposition, asserting that it would enhance the democratic process and keep the ruling party accountable.
