Breaking: Court Hits VeryDarkMan With ₦500 Million Penalty For Defaming Falz And Falana

According to Naija News, the court also instructed VeryDarkMan to pay ₦500 million in damages for libel, as outlined in the pre-action judgment.

Presiding over the case, Justice M. O. Idowu issued the ruling on Tuesday in suit no: ID/8584/GCM/2024. The judge noted that the defamatory posts, made by VeryDarkMan on his social media platforms on September 24, 2024, linking Bobrisky to Falz and his father, had caused harm to their public image.

Justice Idowu added, “The applicants (Falz and Falana) asserted that the defendant (VeryDarkMan) knowingly published these false claims to damage their reputation. As long as these defamatory statements remain online, the injury to their reputation persists.”
