Breaking: EFCC Arrests 100-Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Enugu, Recovers High-End Vehicles (Details)
Operatives of the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 100 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud, commonly referred to as “Yahoo Boys.”
The arrests, conducted on Wednesday, took place at various locations across the state. The EFCC’s official handle announced the operation, stating that it was carried out based on actionable intelligence regarding the activities of an organized syndicate of internet fraudsters operating in areas such as Ibagwa-Nike and other parts of the Enugu metropolis.
Among the items seized from the suspects were three luxury cars, as well as mobile phones and laptops believed to be tools used in their fraudulent activities.
According to the EFCC’s statement, the arrested individuals will undergo further investigation, and upon conclusion, they will be brought before the court to face charges related to their alleged involvement in internet fraud.
