BREAKING: List Of Big Names Missing On Tinubu’s Ministerial List
Some influential members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who were expected to be part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet are conspicuously absent from the ministerial list.
Last Thursday, the president sent the first list containing 28 names to the Senate. Then, on Wednesday, Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the president, delivered the second list of 19 nominees to Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

In the weeks leading up to the unveiling of ministers, certain individuals were mentioned as potential cabinet members, but their names are missing from the 47-man list. Below are some of the names that didn’t make it:
FESTUS KEYAMO:
The former Minister of State for Labour and Employment was actively involved in the Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Organisation. However, Keyamo created controversy with his position on the role of a MINISTER OF STATE during the previous administration of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari. Tinubu decided to give the Delta slot to Stella Okotete instead.
KAYODE FAYEMI:
A two-term governor of Ekiti, Fayemi served as Minister of Solid Minerals in Buhari’s first term. While some other aspirants who stepped down for Tinubu made the list, Fayemi’s name is conspicuously missing, despite speculations that he might be given the foreign ministry portfolio.
FEMI FANI-KAYODE:
Once an opponent of Tinubu, Fani-Kayode joined the APC before the elections and served as a spokesperson for the APC Presidential Campaign Council. Although his past insults towards Tinubu became a major topic during the campaign, he remained focused.
BAYO ONANUGA:
Onanuga, the Director Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation, was not included in Tinubu’s media team, leading to speculations that something higher might be reserved for him.
BEN AYADE:
A two-time elected governor under the People Democratic Party (PDP), Ayade defected to the APC during a disagreement with his former party leaders. However, Tinubu appointed Beta Edu, Ayade’s former Commissioner, instead of him.
Before the list was unveiled, names like Dimeji Bankole, Iyiola Omisore, James Faleke, Abdulrahman Dambazzau, and Abdullahi Ganduje were also mentioned.
