BREAKING: Many Feared Dead As Gunmen Enforce Sit-At-Home In Enugu
Five people are feared dead after an attack by gunmen enforcing Simon Ekpa’s five-day sit-at-home order in the South East on Saturday morning.
A viral video circulating online depicted two victims who had yet to be identified lying lifeless in front of Enugu State University Teaching Hospital, Parklane.
Others were filmed in the New Market District. In the same area, a police car was also set on fire.
According to eyewitnesses, the gunmen stormed the area as early as 6 a.m. before shooting into the air to scare people off the street.
They are marching unopposed from one part of the state to another.
As a result of the development, many residents have been forced to stay indoors for fear of being attacked.
