Breaking: ‘Napoli Cracks’ Man Utd In Pole Position To Sign Land Goal Machine Victor Osimhen
Manchester United are reportedly in advanced talks with Napoli over the potential transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen…….READ MORE
According to Italian outlet Il Mattino, Napoli director Giovanni Manna is currently in London to negotiate directly with Manchester United officials. The Italian club is said to be open to lowering their initial €75 million release clause to make the deal more appealing to the Premier League side.
This move could give United a significant edge over rivals Juventus, who are also in the race for Osimhen but have a tense relationship with Napoli, making a domestic transfer difficult.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Turkish club Galatasaray, is enjoying a sensational season with 28 goals in 32 matches. He is expected to leave Napoli permanently this summer after previous deals with Chelsea and Saudi Arabian clubs fell through.
Manchester United, who have scored just 37 goals in 31 Premier League games this season, see Osimhen as their top target to boost their attack. The 26-year-old is reportedly open to joining the Red Devils despite their current struggles and uncertain European future.
While Chelsea have also met with Manna, their focus remains on signing Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap, who is seen as a better fit for their system. Arsenal are also said to have submitted a bid, with Liverpool, Barcelona, and PSG closely monitoring the situation.
Napoli’s good relationship with Manchester United—strengthened by last summer’s Scott McTominay deal—could help make the transfer smoother.
As the summer window approaches, all eyes are now on whether United can secure Osimhen’s signature and finally solve their goal-scoring woes.
