In Just 2 Years, Tinubu Achieves What Took 40 Years – Power Ministry Declares (See Highlights)

Speaking on News Central on Monday, Tunji stated that while it took over 40 years to add 4,000 megawatts to the national grid, President Tinubu’s administration has added 1,500 megawatts in less than two years.

He credited this progress to tough but necessary decisions made by the Ministry of Power, which have now started yielding results in Nigerian homes and businesses.

Tunji said:

> “Before this administration came in, we were struggling below 4,000 megawatts. From around 1984 till now, only about 4,000 megawatts was added. But within just two years, this government has added 1.5 megawatts more. That’s a huge milestone.”

He added that Nigerians are already seeing the difference in their daily lives as electricity supply continues to improve despite previous economic challenges.
