Security analyst Bakatsine shared this information via a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday.

According to Bakatsine, members of the Kandarawa community in Bakori LGA—who were also abducted by Babaro’s gang on January 14, 2025—revealed that they saw Brig. Gen. Tsiga in captivity.

The former hostages, who secured their release after paying a ransom of ₦30 million, reported that Tsiga was still being held when they left but was receiving proper care, including bottled water.

Babaro is known for orchestrating multiple attacks across Ƙankara, Malumfashi, Bakori, Faskari, and Funtua LGAs.

It was previously reported that the kidnappers demanded a ₦250 million ransom for the release of Tsiga, a retired Brigadier General and former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
