BREAKING: Prominent Monarch Shot Dead

Dahiru Abba, the chief of Maigari village in Kano Atate’s Rimin Gado Local Government Area, has been assassinated.

Barrister Munir Dahiru Maigari, Chairman of Rimin Gado Local Government, confirmed the incident to the Daily Trust.

Maigari said, “It happened around 2am. They came and did what they did. We are now preparing for his burial.

“We cannot say anything regarding the cause of what happened for now, but he is dead and we pray for God’s mercy on his soul.”

He went on to say that the gunmen broke into the monarch’s home and assaulted him before opening fire.

He explained that the burial will take place at his home in Maigari village on Sunday morning.
