BREAKING: Tension As Tribunal Takes Fresh Decision On Judgment In Atiku, PDP’s Petition

The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) has concluded the hearing in the petition filed by Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Justice Haruna Tsamani, the Presiding Justice of the court, announced that judgment in the petition is reserved, and the date for the judgment will be communicated to the parties.

Chris Uche (SAN), the lawyer representing the petitioner, requested the court to uphold the petition and grant his clients’ prayers.

On the other hand, lawyers representing the respondents – Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN) for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Wole Olanipekun (SAN) for President Bola Tinubu, and Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) – urged the court to dismiss the petition, citing a lack of merit and failure to provide relevant evidence.

Meanwhile, parties involved in the petition by Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP) will present their final addresses later today at 2 pm.
