Carry Me Go: Speculated Ministerial List Leaves Edo Residents Stunned, Oshiomhole Our Chosen Leader

By Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah

“… Carry me go where I No know…Burst my bololo …Body cool my pressure…Body cool my pressure”

My fondness for music runs deep, and its effects go beyond refreshing the body, mind, and soul; it also serves as an inspiration, filling one with happiness and contentment.

The popular song “Carry Me Go” by Boy Spyce and Khaid conveys a profound message. Although some may question its relevance to governance, the song actually emphasizes the importance of trust to the point where one entrusts their destiny to a beautiful and ambitious project.

Yesterday, the ministerial list was unveiled, and to the surprise of Edo residents, none of the speculated names from Edo State made the list, including the renowned Senator representing Edo North senatorial district, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, who is beloved by many in Edo State.

Once again, Oshiomhole has demonstrated his fatherly responsibility and the trust he places in the citizens of Edo State. His readiness extends beyond merely occupying a seat in the Red Chambers; he is committed to advocating for the welfare of his people, encompassing not only Edo North and Edo State but also the well-being of the entire masses across all 36 states of the federation.

He has already exhibited his dynamism in the Red Chambers, advocating passionately for his primary constituency – the masses. Oshiomhole’s vision is aligned with ours; the ministerial list demonstrates that he is not interested in power struggles in Abuja but rather in promoting a balanced government that serves the people’s interests.

It is evident that Oshiomhole’s aspirations are driven by sincere and authentic reasons. A glimpse at Edo State’s nominee, Abubakar Momoh, indicates that it might be the opportune moment for Edo to play its rightful role in the nation’s development.

Allow me to list the names that were subjects of speculation, particularly the gentleman we strongly considered for this ministerial role.

Topping the list, as if they personally crafted and presented it to President Tinubu, is Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, others include, in no particular order, Gen Cecil Esekhaigbe, Mallam Gani Audu, Chief Lucky Imasuen, and Chief Pius Odubu.

Currently, there are rumors that all these individuals are considering participating in the upcoming gubernatorial race.

Just as it is essential for Oshiomhole to concentrate and advocate for the masses in the red chambers, it is equally logical for these other remarkable personalities to direct their attention to their gubernatorial projects. By doing so, if elected, they can lead Edo State to new heights, marked by excellence.

Adams’ performance since assuming the role of a senator indicates that it is fitting for him to continue advocating from the red chambers. The ministerial nominee from Edo State has demonstrated that Edo is fully prepared to represent Tinubu’s government with excellence.

Oshiomhole remains our esteemed leader, and we have full confidence in him. So, let us return to this captivating song, “Carry Me Go,” and its enchanting lyrics. Don’t forget to put on your headphones and play the track on repeat; it will uplift your spirits.

Oshiomhole, lead us forward; we trust in your capabilities, and we stand in full support.
