The judge ordered the state government to seize Abduljabbar’s two mosques, which he owns as the son of late prominent Islamic cleric Nasiru Kabara.
In July 2021, the Kano State Government charged Abduljabar with blasphemous statements against the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), an act described as capable of inciting public peace.
The convict was quoted as saying he had no regrets and would die as a hero.
