In an interview on ireporteronline. The Morning Show on Friday, January 10, Dalung rejected the comparison, stating his area in Abuja bears little resemblance to London.

“If the Senate President feels like he’s in London, it could be the London of his immediate environment,” Dalung said.

The former minister, who has previously accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of being influenced by “dangerous cabals,” criticized the portrayal of Wike’s projects as genuine signs of progress.

He argued that Abuja suffers from a lack of essential services, with residents depending on private initiatives like boreholes for water, while public schools and healthcare systems fail to meet basic needs.

“These services affect ordinary citizens directly—education, healthcare, and access to water. Road construction and dualization are not the solutions we need,” Dalung asserted, calling for a shift in focus towards addressing the real issues impacting the everyday lives of Abuja’s residents.
